Leah Miller

Strategic Lead (Inclusion)

Leah joined the trust in January 2022 in the role of Director or Safeguarding and Inclusion.

Leah has executive oversight of the trust’s safeguarding and SEND strategy, along with personal development and inclusion more broadly, across all Nova schools – primaries, secondaries and further education.

Prior to joining the trust, Leah was Head Teacher of an outstanding all-through alternative provision in Cambridgeshire, specialising in children and young people with the most complex behaviour,  health and mental health needs. In addition, Leah chaired the education workstream for the development of the new regional Cambridge Children’s Hospital, and was a member of the Cambridgeshire School Improvement Team.

Leah has extensive leadership experience having held a several senior leadership positions in mainstream secondary schools across the south of England, from Somerset to inner city London. Within these roles Leah has led on safeguarding, SEND, inclusion, curriculum, and behaviour; along with delivering at ITT and being a Masters level assessor for Plymouth Marjon University.

Leah is a secondary mathematics specialist who really enjoys infusing a love of learning to all children and young people, particularly for her subject. However, her greatest passion is driving for  for equality and equity for all — that all children have access to every opportunity, the highest quality offer, and every child leaves our schools readily equipped with the tools to reach their full potential.
