Jo is currently Head Teacher at Nottingham Free School. Prior to this appointment, she was Deputy Head Teacher at Carlton le Willows Academy for nine years.

Jo started her career in education as a science teacher and took up her first middle leadership post as Head of Science at Bluecoat Academy. She has a strong track record of success across a number of areas of leadership, most notably academic excellence and post-16 provision.

Jo is passionate about providing high quality learning experiences and equality of opportunity for all. Her vision for Nottingham Free school is for every learner to experience transformative academic and personal growth.
