Robbie is the trust's Director of School Improvement for Primary, providing strategic support for all of the primary phase schools in Nova Education Trust.

Prior to his appointment in January 2025, Robbie was Head Teacher at Malin Bridge Primary in Sheffield, leading the school to Outstanding in 2017 and securing the school the same outcome in its inspection in March 2024.

During his time as Head Teacher, he worked as a Local Leader of Education, supporting schools in Sheffield and nationally. As well as extensive experience as a leader across primary schools and early years settings, he has also been a secondary school Head Teacher, supporting a school facing significant challenges. Following this experience, he expanded his school improvement role to be cross-phase and led on quality assurance across both primary and secondary for a Multi Academy Trust. 

Robbie has significant experience in curriculum design, coaching, teacher training and assessment. He has worked with national school improvement services to provide consultancy and support in these areas.
